This is an unpaid, full-time opportunity to become a tattoo artist through hands-on mentorship at UPLIFT Tattoo. Attendance 5 days a week is mandatory.

Position: Full Time Tattoo Apprentice / Tattoo Student

Location: SoHo, New York City

What We Expect:

   •    You must be able to attend 5 days a week — no exceptions.

   •    Your sole focus will be on perfecting your artwork and tattoo design skills by drawing and practicing on fake skin.

   •    You will not be expected to clean, take out trash, or perform any studio chores — this is a focused, art-driven apprenticeship.

   •    Build a strong, well-rounded portfolio under the guidance of experienced artists.

   •    Learn and follow professional health and safety protocols.

   •    Gain foundational knowledge of tattoo machines, tools, and technique.

Requirements:

   •    Currently enrolled in or graduated from an art school program.

   •    Demonstrated drawing ability and basic design skills.

   •    Strong work ethic, discipline, and openness to feedback.

   •    Must have your own drawing and tattoo-related supplies.

   •    Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
